Sebastian Apodaca
and Kim te Roller launched Heat Productions in 2002 with a vision of
introducing South Africa to talented filmmakers around the world. South
Africa has the locations and facilities to accompany any storyline that
America, Canada or even Australia has to offer. South Africa has dominated
in the international commercial industry. Heat Productions has directed
many talented filmmakers to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Kenya, which
has raised the Heat in their motion picture industry.

Heat Productions is
presently raising financing for the feature film “Barry”.
“Barry” is the remarkable true story of the first woman
doctor, forced to masquerade as a man to pursue her career in South
Africa and England, starring Rachel Weisz (Constantine, Mummy Returns)
and directed by Marleen Gorris (Oscar-winner Antonia’s Line, The
Luzhin Defence, Carolina). We are proud to announce that "Barry"
will start production in March 2005 in South Africa and England. |

| We continue to look for strong, character driven
scripts and novels, and are presently forming an ensemble of producers,
writers, and innovative directors to make these productions transpire.
Our filmmakers will now have the opportunity of bringing home a product
that you would normally see at a studio level. |
